Minor in Dance

About the minor

The Minor in Dance is designed for students who wish to gain or augment their understanding of the art of dance.  It provides a broad understanding of the field from the perspective of the performer and choreographer. The Minor also expands students' understanding of how dance can intersect with other fields of study and allows them to develop additional skills that complement the marketable competencies and knowledge they acquire in their majors.

Students who earn a Minor in Dance often pursue careers in fields such as music, teaching, acting, fitness, and other similar professions.
