General Education Microcredentials
When completing general education courses, students also have an opportunity to earn microcredentials, which align with the University-Wide Learning Outcomes (UWLOs). To earn a microcredential, a student must complete three (3) of the six courses identified in the credential description.
Creative Thinking
Apply and present knowledge associated with artistic, creative, and intuitive understanding to develop questions; examine problems from different perspectives, and present potential solutions. Recognize the contributions that have been made by members of diverse cultural, racial, ethnic, and gender groups, persons with disabilities, and other historically marginalized people within their own communities and across the world (UWLOs 1.5 and 4.5).
Microcredential Learning Outcome: Analyze and synthesize information from diverse sources to formulate unique perspectives and create original concepts, demonstrating the capacity to think beyond conventional boundaries and challenge existing paradigms.

Critical Thinking

Personal and Social Well-Being
Strategies for stress management, self-awareness, and resilience through mindfulness and emotion regulation. Addresses the impact of financial resources on mental and physical health, stress levels, and healthcare access, while fostering healthy relationships and effective personal finance management (UWLOs 2.2-2.5).
Microcredential Learning Outcome: Students will develop and apply strategies for personal well-being, social interaction, and financial literacy to enhance their overall quality of life and resilience.
