Developmental Coursework
To help under-prepared students, YSU offers developmental courses in mathematics and writing. A developmental course is one that is below college level and does not count toward degree completion. The following courses are considered to be developmental courses:
- MATH 1500, 1500R, 1501, and 1504
- ENGL 1509, 1541, 1539, and 1540
While these courses count toward the overall course load and count for financial aid purposes, they will not be considered for degree completion.
