Graduate Courses for Undergraduate Students

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT TO ENROLL IN GRADUATE (5800 or higher level) COURSE

YSU undergraduate students who do not have a bachelor’s degree may request permission to take courses for graduate credit. The credit earned may only be used for graduate credit when admitted to Graduate Studies and accepted by the department.

Permission to enroll in graduate courses for graduate credit is made under the following criteria:
1.Senior standing and 2.7 GPA
2.Total hours per semester may not exceed 15
3.Total graduate credit may not exceed 12 semester hours

UNDERGRADUATE/GRADUATE DUAL CREDIT

In the following approved programs, undergraduate students are able to take graduate level courses which apply to a Master's and Bachelor's degree. Dual credit coursework is limited to 9 semester hours for:
Athletic Training, Computing and Information Systems, Chemistry, Criminal Justice, Data Science and Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Professional Communication, Public Health, and Respiratory Care
