About the minor

The Minor in Art History for Non-Art Majors helps students explore their interest in art and improve their ability to understand and analyze visual objects and images. It shows that students have honed their critical thinking and research skills in relation to art. This minor also helps students see how art history connects with other subjects and allows them to gain skills that enhance what they learn in their primary degree.

Students who minor in art history often pursue various pathways after graduation, depending on their major and interests. They might work in museums, galleries, or auction houses, assisting with curation, research, or public education. The minor also supports arts administration, publishing, cultural heritage, and design careers.
