Youngstown State University provides students with the exciting opportunity to participate in flight school where they will acquire the knowledge and experience to successfully operate single-engine aircrafts. Students are introduced to the aviation industry and provided the education and training necessary to obtain a private pilot license with instrument certification. Aviation laws, safety, geographic information, weather and physics are some foundational conceptions of the curriculum for the Associate of Applied Science. Practical skills are built in simulation training, ground instruction and in the air through flight training.
